Life Extension, Damage Reconstruction, planned Maintenance

Life extension is the process of extending the Unit’s ability to continue operating for extra years.&nbsp;&nbsp;As an asset reaches its initial design age or decommissioning age, a life extension study (LES) can be conducted to assess its condition and fatigue. This provides a cost-efficient option for safely extending the life of existing assets. LES are flexible and adaptable to the needs of individual clients and assets but must be considered in advance in terms of inspection planning and timeline.&nbsp;We at Zener have conducted quite a few LES for our clients worldwide. The typical project scope would include preparation of a Life extension work scope, Condition Assessment Survey, Schedule and Resource calculation, Engineering and Compliance support, Corrosion Protection, Project Management and Site Supervision.&nbsp;This study primarily consists of the inspection of the vessel’s current status and structural analysis to determine its capacity to operate beyond its shelf life. Apart from LES, we have also been involved in repair and maintenance of the vessels. Execute Retrofit Installation with MTO&nbsp;&nbsp;Retrofitting&nbsp;Retrofitting/Revamping also referred to as modernization is an update of an existing piece of equipment to improve efficiency, and to make it adequate for a new design or operating condition through the modification or replacement of some of its parts.&nbsp;Zener Maritime Solutions has been executing quite a few retrofit projects for Clients all over the world. On the Marine side, some of the projects which have been executed by our team are Ballast water treatment system (BWTS), Scrubber Installation, Bille Gear Installation. For these projects, our Inhouse team was involved in conducting surveys of the location, preparation of rigging plan, Installation of equipment followed by Commissioning (with assistance of OEM on required basis). The projects have been executed onshore and offshore insitu.&nbsp;On the offshore side, our team has been involved in the replacement of Piping systems, Generators, compressors. The scope of work consisted of survey of location, preparation of MTO, rigging plan, installation of equipment followed by Commissioning (with assistance of OEM on required basis).&nbsp;Apart from the Productive team, we also have a Project Management team (PMT) onboard. After the completion of survey, our team will come up with the Project Schedule. The schedule is prepared after taking into consideration the site conditions, POB Allowance and Simultaneous Operations in the facility. PMT comprises of Project Manager, Project Engineer and Site Supervisor. They are jointly responsible for ensuring the project progress is as per the schedule. PMT will be monitoring the project closely to ensure any changes/delays are catered for and corrective actions taken. Project Progress report, daily reports is shared with the client on regular basis to ensure client is kept abreast of the same.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Zener can support in the basic to detail design of various new built carriers and vessels to the requirement of client and to the satisfaction of class.&nbsp;&nbsp;That involves preparing basic design specification from the owners/ clients’ requirements. Expectations are tabulated and jointly finalised to be populated into a basic design specification. Following which a basic set of General arrangement plan, Midship and weight report are prepared. Taking ownership and discussing with the client appointed vendors and having them integrated with the vessel. The general routine would be churning out detailed design drawings to class requirements after scantling checks are established. Piping and electrical teams also work simultaneously on their deliverables like P&amp;ID/SLD’s, material spec, and MTO. Following the clearance of most of the basic design documents. If any material substitution based on material availability is required these are immediately handled so that project deliverables are not impacted. Shop drawings and fabrication drawings as required such as nesting plans and cutting plans can also be generated if the shipyard requests for the same. A stability report shall be generated, and weights shall be monitored so that carrying capacity is not impacted. After completion of the major works, fabrication, and installation of equipment, we shall carry out an inclining and prepare the inclining report that after approval from the class shall be used to update the stability booklet.&nbsp;Based on client requirements final as-built drawings shall be also handed over to the vessel for safekeeping.&nbsp;&nbsp;
